Development work progress reviewed in Gujrat

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jun, 2026) A review meeting on ongoing development projects under the Punjab Development Program was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Gujrat Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi.

According to official sources, Managing Director WASA Kashan Hafeez Butt briefed the meeting on the progress of various ongoing schemes. He said that work on the 100-cusec disposal station at Stadium and the 40-cusec disposal station at Madina Syedan is continuing as per schedule. He added that desilting of drains across the city is also underway.

The meeting was informed that, in addition to the Madina Syedan and Kachehri disposal stations, work on the installation of HDPE pipes at Boley Chowk is in progress.

Similarly, the Lorae stormwater drain project is moving ahead, while construction of sewerage lines in Hayat Pura and Narowali is ongoing.

It was further informed that cleaning and clearance of drains from Kalra to Khasa, Main GT Road, Badshahi Road, Dera via Kunjah, Kachehri Chowk to Jinnah Chowk, Shah Hussain Nala to GTS Chowk, GTS Chowk to Lari Adda, Lari Adda to Gulzar-e-Madina Chowk and Gulzar-e-Madina Chowk to Nawab Chowk has been completed.

The meeting was attended by Director Development Tasawar Abbas, concerned XENs and other officials.
