Environment Complex project reviewed

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th May, 2026) Commissioner, Bahawalpur Division, Irfan Ali Kathia visited the under-construction Environment Complex being developed under the Punjab Environment Department on Saturday, where he reviewed construction progress, quality of work, and financial matters in detail.

During the visit, officials briefed the Commissioner on the overall progress of the project, fund utilization, and ongoing construction activities. He was informed that the project has entered its final stages, with only minor finishing work remaining in the main building.

The briefing further noted that construction of the boundary wall, guard room, underground water tank, overhead reservoir, and other key infrastructure has already been completed, while external development work is progressing rapidly.

The Commissioner directed that no delay in the project’s completion would be tolerated and emphasized that all work must be finished within the stipulated timeframe. He said government development projects must serve public interest effectively.

He added that the establishment of a modern Environment Complex in Bahawalpur would play an important role in environmental protection and improving administrative efficiency, reaffirming that its timely completion remains a priority of the Punjab government.
