DPO Kohat honors police martyrs, reaffirms support for bereaved families

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) District Police Officer Shahbaz Elahi on Monday paid tribute to police martyrs in Kohat by visiting the homes of several fallen officers and meeting their families to acknowledge their sacrifices for peace and public security.

During the visits, the DPO met the children and relatives of the martyrs, inquired about their welfare, and assured them of the police department’s continued support. He described the families of martyrs as a source of pride for the force, saying the sacrifices rendered by fallen officers for the country’s safety would never be forgotten.

Shahbaz Elahi distributed gifts among the children of the martyrs and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families, pledging that the police would stand beside them in every difficult moment.

He said caring for and encouraging the children of martyrs was a collective social responsibility and an important duty of the department.

Later, the DPO visited the graves of the martyrs, laid floral wreaths, and offered Fateha for the departed souls. He said the sacrifices of police martyrs remained the department’s greatest asset and credited their courage and dedication for maintaining peace and order in society, reaffirming that Kohat Police would continue to uphold the honor and dignity of martyrs’ families at all costs.
