DGPR Punjab visits Multan, reviews progress on Information Complex

Director General Public Relations (DGPR) Punjab, Fareed Ahmed Sheikh, visited the Divisional Office of Public Relations Multan and held a meeting with officers of the Multan Division

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2026) Director General Public Relations (DGPR) Punjab, Fareed Ahmed Sheikh, visited the Divisional Office of Public Relations Multan and held a meeting with officers of the Multan Division.

Upon his arrival, Director Public Relations Multan Division Muhammad Sajjad Jahaniya, along with other officers, warmly welcomed the DG. Deputy Directors Waseem Yousaf and Iram Saleemi from Multan, Deputy Director Khanewal Salman Khalid, and District Information Officer Lodhran Khalid Rasool were also present during the meeting.

During the session, the Director General discussed professional matters and departmental challenges in detail with the officers. He said that the Public Relations Department is being aligned with modern requirements to make it more effective and dynamic.

Fareed Ahmed Sheikh stated that modern facilities are being introduced within the department, adding that the provision of DSNG vans in Lahore has significantly enhanced live coverage capabilities.

He further said that after completion of the under-construction Information Complex in Multan, the facility will be equipped with modern technology and all necessary amenities to ensure timely dissemination of the Punjab government’s development initiatives and public welfare measures.

Later, the Director General visited the under-construction Information Complex Multan, where Executive Engineer of the Buildings Department, Iftikhar Ahmed, was also present. The DG inspected various sections of the building, reviewed the pace and quality of construction work, and issued instructions and suggestions for further improvement.

During the visit, Fareed Ahmed Sheikh also allocated space within the Information Complex for the camp office of Punjab Minister for Information and Culture, Azma Bukhari, to facilitate better public coordination and smooth execution of official affairs.
