DC Tank vows zero tolerance for public exploitation

TANK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) Newly appointed Deputy Commissioner Tank, Jamshed Khan, has said that serving the public is not a favour but a responsibility for which government officials are paid and any injustice or mistreatment of citizens would not be tolerated.

He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of the District Press Club Tank led by its president, Syed Badshah Kundi.

The deputy commissioner said resolving basic public issues at people’s doorsteps was the administration’s top priority. He added that constructive criticism by journalists would be welcomed in the spirit of reform, and the district administration considered it as its duty to take immediate notice of issues highlighted by the media.

He directed government officials to perform their duties with dedication and a spirit of public service. He said all available resources would be utilised to ensure prompt resolution of public problems.

Jamshed Khan further stated that the district administration was taking practical steps to provide relief to citizens and warned that negligence in addressing public complaints would not be tolerated.

The visiting delegation appreciated the deputy commissioner’s people-friendly approach and stressed that close cooperation between the media and the administration was essential for resolving public issues effectively.
