GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Nour-ul-Ain Qureshi chaired a meeting to review progress on ongoing development projects under the Punjab Development Programme in the district.
According to official sources, Managing Director WASA Kashan Hafeez Butt briefed the meeting on progress of various schemes. The meeting was informed that work on Kalra and Narowali disposal stations was continuing as per targets, while desilting of drains across the city was also underway at a fast pace.
Officials said construction work at Madina Syedan and Kutchehry disposal stations was also in progress.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The meeting was further informed that 32 per cent work on the Loraye Storm Water Drain project had been completed so far.
Participants were told that clearance work on main lines in Ratti, Kalra and Chah Tarang areas was continuing at a fast pace.
The deputy commissioner directed the relevant departments to further accelerate the pace of work on all development projects and ensure quality so that the schemes could be completed within the stipulated timeframe to provide better facilities to citizens.
Director Development Tasawur Abbas, concerned XENs, and other officers of relevant departments also attended the meeting.
