DC reviews park development,directs new facilities for visitors

GUJRAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner(DC) Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi on Wednesday chaired a District Development Committee (DDC) meeting to review ongoing development work and the enhancement of facilities at Shehbaz Sharif Park.

The DC instructed authorities to install executive toilet blocks, provide golf carts for senior citizens,set up CCTV cameras, an open gym and other basic amenities for visitors.

She also directed officials to prepare separate proposals for a food court and a sports arena, with Request for Proposal (RFP) advertisements to be published in newspapers to accelerate the process.

Regarding the proposed library,the DC asked officials to revise cost estimates to ensure better study facilities for citizens, particularly the youth.

The meeting was attended by Chief Officer District Council Syed Faraz Mehdi, Deputy Director Development Tasawar Abbas and other concerned officials.
