KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jul, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Nawaz Wazir on Friday directed all government departments to improve public service delivery, expedite development projects, and ensure the prompt resolution of public complaints, warning that negligence, unnecessary delays, and poor performance will not be tolerated.
The directives were issued while chairing a high-level review meeting held under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister's District Service Delivery Initiative. Senior officials from the district administration, line departments, and other relevant agencies attended the meeting.
The participants reviewed the progress of ongoing development and public welfare projects, assessed the delivery of essential civic services, and evaluated the performance of government departments across the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the deputy commissioner said the District Service Delivery Initiative was designed to strengthen governance, transparency, accountability, and citizen-focused service delivery, ensuring that quality public services reach people efficiently and without delay.

Muhammad Nawaz Wazir warned that any official found responsible for negligence or avoidable delays in resolving public complaints would face action under the relevant rules.
He reiterated that the district administration remains committed to transparent, accountable, and efficient governance aimed at delivering tangible benefits to the people of Kohat.
