DC Abbottabad highlights forest protection & climate awareness during his visit to GDC Nathiagali

NATHIAGALI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abbottabad Sarmad Saleem Akram Saturday visited Government Degree College Nathia Gali during his tour of the Galiyat region, where he participated in an awareness programme focused on wildlife conservation and climate change.

During his visit, the DC interacted with students and emphasized the importance of forests in maintaining ecological balance. He also highlighted the steps being taken by the district administration to protect forest resources under the “Good Governance Roadmap” initiative of the provincial government.

He said that preserving forests and promoting environmental awareness among the youth are essential to tackle the challenges of climate change effectively. The principal and faculty members of the college were also present on the occasion.
