LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jun, 2026) Lahore Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi on Thursday visited the procession route at Sagar Road, Saddar Bazaar, and reviewed traffic management and security arrangements put in place for Muharram.
During the visit, the CTO inspected various diversion points and alternative routes established to facilitate commuters and procession participants. DSP Cantt Mian Umair briefed him on the procession route and the alternative traffic management plan.
Shirazi also reviewed traffic arrangements for other mourning processions being held in different parts of the city.
The CTO interacted with citizens at diversion points and briefed traffic wardens on their responsibilities.

He said additional traffic personnel had been deployed to ensure convenience for the public and maintain smooth traffic flow during Muharram processions.
The CTO said comprehensive parking arrangements had been made for mourners and visitors attending Majalis and processions.
He further directed traffic wardens to remain vigilant and keep a close watch on suspicious individuals and unattended objects to help maintain security.
