Commissioner reviews ongoing beautification work in Khushab

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) Commissioner Sargodha Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Thursday visited Kalma Chowk and Tehsil Office Road in Khushab along with Deputy Commissioner Dr Jahanzeb Hussain Laber to review the progress of the ongoing beautification plan under the Punjab Development Programme.

During the visit, officers of the Punjab Development Programme briefed the commissioner on the pace and quality of the beautification work being carried out in different areas.

The commissioner also conducted a detailed inspection of the drainage system being developed to improve rainwater disposal during the monsoon season.

Speaking on the occasion, Hafiz Shaukat Ali directed the authorities to ensure high standards in all development works, warning that no compromise on quality would be tolerated.

He said strict action would be taken against contractors or officials involved in substandard work.

Hafiz Shaukat Ali further instructed the departments concerned to fix timelines for the completion of projects and ensure that all works are completed within the stipulated period.

He emphasized that the drainage system project being executed under the Punjab Development Programme must be completed on priority.

He also directed officials to maintain daily monitoring and check-and-balance of the beautification projects initiated under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab.

Additional Deputy Commissioner General Ghazala Kanwal, CEO Municipal Committee Sundas Rabeel and officers from various departments were also present during the visit.
