RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jul, 2026) Commissioner Rawalpindi, Salman Ghani on Tuesday visited Holy Family Hospital (HFH) to review the quality of healthcare services, cleanliness standards, and the implementation of the Chief Minister's Free Medicine Delivery and Dialysis Programme.
Accompanied by Medical Superintendent HFH, Dr. Ejaz, Assistant Commissioner City, Iman Zafar, Director Health and other senior officials, the Commissioner inspected various wards including the Emergency department, Cath Lab, Coronary Care Unit (CCU), and Outpatient Department (OPD).
He checked the attendance of doctors and paramedical staff, interacted directly with patients to inquire about the availability of free medicines, and evaluated the functionality of medical equipment alongside the general hygiene of restrooms and waiting areas.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The Commissioner directed the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) to complete the ongoing sewerage restoration project at the hospital on a priority basis. Acknowledging that the hospital faces an immense patient load due to incoming cases from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), and surrounding regions, Ghani emphasized that all operational challenges at HFH would be addressed urgently to minimize public inconvenience.
He further instructed the hospital administration to deploy dedicated guidance staff in the emergency ward to direct patients smoothly and efficiently. Reaffirming the Punjab government’s commitment to providing dignified, high-quality, and accessible healthcare to all citizens, the Commissioner warned that no negligence regarding medicine availability, staff attendance, or medical ethics would be tolerated.
