Commissioner marks Eid with visits to welfare institutions

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Mar, 2026) Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Musarrat Jabeen visited multiple welfare institutions across the district to share Eid celebrations with children and patients.

She visited Borstal Institute Juvenile Jail Bahawalpur,where she was accompanied by DIG Prisons Qazi Aslam, Superintendent Mansoor Akbar Somroo,Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza, and Assistant Commissioner (City) Khalil Ahmed.

On the occasion,clothes,shoes and sweets were distributed among juvenile inmates, while officials interacted with them and extended encouragement.

Later,the commissioner visited Bahawal Victoria Hospital, where she inquired after patients in the emergency ward and distributed sweets to share the festive spirit.

At the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau,a special Eid ceremony was held.

The commissioner cut a cake with children and distributed gifts among them. Assistant Commissioner Hamza Ehtisham also attended the event.

The visits reflected the administration’s efforts to include children in care facilities and patients in Eid celebrations, emphasizing compassion and community support on the occasion.
