Two teenagers drown in Chenab River, bodies recovered

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jun, 2026) Two teenagers who drowned while bathing in the Chenab River near Chakrala in Sialkot tehsil were recovered by Rescue 1122 after a search operation on Sunday.

According to a Rescue 1122 spokesperson, water rescue teams launched an operation immediately after receiving the alert and recovered the bodies of 18-year-old Kaleem, a resident of Prem Nagar, and 18-year-old Hasnain.

The bodies were handed over to their families after completion of the rescue operation.

Rescue 1122 urged citizens to avoid bathing in deep waters of rivers and other water bodies and to observe safety precautions to prevent such tragic incidents.
