Chiniot police hold specialized workshop to strengthen investigation skills

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2026) On the directives of Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Karim, practical measures are being implemented to enhance the professional capacity of police officers across the province. Consequently, acting on the instructions of District Police Officer (DPO) Dr. Naveed Atif, a comprehensive training workshop for investigation officers was organized at the DPO Office in Chiniot on Tuesday.

CSI Forensic Khalil Ahmed, DSP Legal Shahid Nawaz, and several investigation officers participated in the session. Furthermore, the forensic team clearly briefed participants on key areas including crime scene investigation, death scene analysis, computer forensics, and DNA forensics.

In addition, officers were carefully guided through modern techniques used to handle and analyze forensic evidence.

During the workshop, the participants received a detailed multimedia presentation on the systematic collection of evidence and the preparation of forensic samples. Subsequently, the duties of the first responder were clearly explained, while existing shortcomings in handling crime scenes were openly discussed to improve professional standards.

The investigation officers were strongly urged to preserve evidence in a professional and reliable manner to ensure effective prosecution of criminal cases. Therefore, officials stated that such training workshops will continue regularly, emphasizing that criminals will be firmly brought to justice through high-quality and transparent investigations.
