Chief Secretary GB visits Diamer to view progress on the Diamer Basha Dam Project

GILGIT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Jul, 2026) Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Arshad Majeed visited Diamer to view progress on the Diamer Basha Dam Project, focusing on land acquisition & resettlement issues, confidence-building measures, and key development initiatives.

He reaffirmed the government's commitment to resolving outstanding issues, strengthening inter-agency coordination, and ensuring full support of GoGB for the timely completion of the project.

The Chief Secretary also viewed ongoing construction works at the dam site and received a briefing from the management and technical team at the project site.
