Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera assumes charge as Rawalpindi CPO

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Jul, 2026) Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera formally assumed charge as the City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi and chaired an introductory meeting with senior police officers here on Sunday.

The meeting was attended by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, SSP Investigation, SSP Safe City, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO), divisional Superintendents of Police (SPs), Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs), Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) Traffic, Station House Officers (SHOs) and other officials.

During the meeting, CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera reviewed key policing matters and directed officers to ensure the timely provision of justice and high-quality public service, describing them as the force's foremost priorities.

He stressed that negligence or laxity in the discharge of professional duties would not be tolerated and instructed all officers and personnel to perform their responsibilities with dedication, integrity, and professionalism.

Reaffirming the department's commitment to public safety, the CPO said effective crime prevention would be ensured at all costs to safeguard the lives and property of citizens.
