Boy crushed to death on road

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jun, 2026) An 18-years-old boy crushed to death as he asleep beneath a truck on roadside in Nahar Wali area on suburb of the city.

According to the rescue staff of the Punjab Emergency Service, Rescue 1122, a 10-wheeler truck carrying maize was parked roadside overnight while traveling to Sadiqabad. The truck driver's 18-year-old son had been sleeping on top of the truck during the night. After sunrise, he moved and lay down beneath the truck to sleep.

They further said that when the truck driver, who was his father, started driving the vehicle, he was unaware that his son was underneath. As a result, the young man was run over by the truck's tire, and the lower part of his body was crushed.

The victim died at the scene. At the request of the family, the body was shifted to his ancestral home in Jhangiwala. The deceased was identified as 18-years-old, Rizwan. Local police have been investigating the incident. Further probe was underway.
