Benazir Income Support Program – SSP Takes Action Against Illegal Deductions, Seven Device Holders Arrested

LARKANA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jul, 2026) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Larkana Ahmed has taken strict action against illegal deductions from funds of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP).

The ringleader, Roshan alias Abu Zar Laghari, along with seven (07) device holders, has been arrested.

Under the special directives of SSP Larkana Ahmed Chaudhry, QPM, PSP, a vigorous crackdown is underway across the district against elements making illegal deductions from the aid money meant for deserving beneficiaries under the BISP. In this regard, Larkana Police conducted successful operations within the jurisdictions of Dari Police Station, Dokri Police Station, and Arija Police Station, and arrested (07) accused: Roshan alias Abu Zar Laghari, Sohail Mirani, Naeem Bhangar, Aamir Mustafa Abro, Ameer Ali Abbasi, Shams Inar, and Riaz Laghari.

Devices, mobile phones, and identity cards were recovered from the accused, and separate cases have been registered against them at the respective police stations under sections 420 and 379.

According to preliminary investigations, the accused were found guilty of fraud and criminal breach of trust for making illegal deductions from the aid money received by deserving women under BISP. Further investigation against them is ongoing.

SSP Larkana has made it clear that illegal deductions from the aid money of deserving BISP women will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Legal action against elements exploiting public rights will continue without discrimination, and they will be awarded exemplary punishment in accordance with the law.

It should be noted that the arrested ringleader, Roshan alias Abu Zar Laghari, used to lie to everyone and collect money under various false Names.
