BCS Officers’ Welfare Association holds first general body meeting in Quetta

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th May, 2026) The Balochistan Civil Service (BCS) Executive Branch Officers’ Welfare Association convened its first general body meeting under the chairmanship of General Secretary Ali Durrani and reviewed the newly elected cabinet’s progress over the past three months on civil service reforms.

The session brought together trainee assistant commissioners and senior officers, providing a platform for direct interaction.

Addressing the gathering, Ali Durrani emphasized the heavy responsibility on civil service officers to deliver relief in the social sector and improve administrative governance.

He highlighted that education and health facilities at the grassroots level are fundamental rights of citizens and must remain a priority. Stressing the province’s vast geography and limited resources, he underscored that effective utilization of available means is the foremost duty of officers.

Ali Durrani expressed confidence that officers posted in districts would adopt a spirit of public service, meeting the expectations and trust of the people through their full capabilities.

Ali Durrani also noted that resolving revenue-related issues on merit and priority is crucial for regional development and prosperity. He praised the provincial government’s commitment to establishing good governance and assured that the Association would fully support ongoing reforms.

He further expressed hope that Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, his cabinet, and Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir would extend cooperation in addressing the longstanding challenges faced by BCS officers.

The meeting also discussed other agenda points, with participants sharing views and agreeing on a collective strategy.

Young officers expressed strong confidence in senior officers and the Association’s leadership, pledging to benefit from their experience and expertise.
