Putting AJK on the path of economic stability, progress stands as top priority of State Govt. PM Rathore

MIRPUR (AJK) , (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 17th May, 2026) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister (PM) Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has said that said that putting Azad Jammi Kashmir on the path of speedy economic stability and development remains his government's top priority.?

He reaffirmed his resolve that serving the people and fulfilling the unfinished mission of his late father was the main reason behind his entry into politics.?

While addressing a condolence reference held in memory of late retired educationist Abdul Rashid Awan at Union Council Bhedi Kaiyan in Haveili district on Sunday, the AJK premier The Prime Minister said that if given an opportunity, his government would transform Azad Jammu Kashmir into one of the strongest economies in the region within the next two years.?He added that development of neglected and far-flung areas has been a priority for the present government.

?The PM emphasised that politics should be based on public service, continuity and mutual respect rather than coercion or confrontation.? He vowed to work for restoring a peaceful and positive political atmosphere in the state.

Paying tribute to the late Abdul Rashid Awan, the Prime Minister said that his religious, educational and social services would always be remembered.?

On the occasion, Allama Imtiaz Ahmed Siddiqui, Malik Mukhtar Awan Advocate, Gulzar Rathore, Malik Mustafa Awan and others also spoke and highlighted the services and contributions of the deceased. ?Meanwhile, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore inaugurated Nayabat at Union Council Bhedi, fulfilling a long-standing demand of the people of the area.

Speaking on the occasion, Rathore said that the government was taking practical steps to address public issues and accelerate the development of backward areas. He said the establishment of Nayabat would help improve administrative affairs and ensure better public service delivery to the local population.?

Rathore also directed the concerned authorities to make the service delivery mechanism more effective so that citizens could be provided with prompt and quality facilities.
