Balochistan government expresses deep grief over Quetta terror attack; emergency declared in Hospitals

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) The Balochistan government has expressed profound sorrow and grief over the terrorist incident near Chaman Phatak in Quetta, condemning the targeting of innocent civilians.

Advisor to the Chief Minister on Political and Media Affairs, Shahid Rind, said the attack on women, children, and ordinary citizens was a cowardly act, stressing that terrorist elements are not deserving of any leniency. He confirmed that Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti is personally monitoring the situation.

Following the blast, a medical emergency was declared across Quetta’s hospitals, with all doctors, paramedics, and medical staff urgently called to duty.

Shahid Rind assured that the injured are being provided immediate medical assistance and the best possible treatment facilities.
