Balochistan AI lab for women entrepreneurs; CM Bugti vows empowerment through innovation

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2026) Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti described the establishment of the AI Lab as a milestone for economic stability, noting that while extremist elements attempt to mislead women into destructive paths.

In a statement, he said the provincial government is determined to provide them with opportunities for growth, education, and employment.

The first-ever Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lab dedicated to women entrepreneurs has been inaugurated in Balochistan, marking a historic step toward economic empowerment and digital innovation.

In the initial phase, training has started for 20 women entrepreneurs, with plans to expand the program gradually across all districts of the province.

Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti expressed satisfaction at the initiative and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to empowering women through education, technology, and entrepreneurship.

He highlighted several initiatives aimed at women’s empowerment, including the Pink Scooty scheme, scholarships, easy loans, and now the AI Lab all designed to ensure a dignified and independent future for women.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the development, education, and economic independence of women and youth remain the top priorities of the Balochistan government.

He stressed that such projects will not only strengthen women’s role in society but also contribute to the province’s overall progress and prosperity.
