Attock authorities review security arrangements for Eidul Azha, Muharram

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) Senior officials of the district administration and police in Attock held a meeting on Thursday with members of the District Peace Committee to review security measures and law and order arrangements ahead of Eidul Azha and Muharram-ul-Haram.

The meeting, held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, was attended by District Police Officer Sardar Mavarhan Khan and Deputy Commissioner Rao Atif Raza. Discussions focused on the prevailing national security situation, precautionary measures against terrorism threats, and coordination among institutions to ensure peaceful observance of the upcoming religious occasions.

Addressing participants, DPO Sardar Mavarhan Khan said promoting religious harmony, brotherhood and a peaceful atmosphere in the district remained the top priority of Attock Police.

He said police were fully alert to safeguard lives and property, maintain public order and take strict action against elements seeking to disrupt peace.

Officials said comprehensive and foolproof security arrangements would be implemented during Eidul Azha and Muharram, with all relevant departments working in close coordination under a unified security strategy. Members of the District Peace Committee appreciated the efforts of the district administration and police and assured full cooperation to promote inter-sect harmony and religious tolerance in the district.
