ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th May, 2026) As businesses increasingly rely on digital systems to manage operations, AI-enabled Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms are emerging as a central component of modern enterprise management, according to software development expert Asim Tausif Khan.

He, speaking about the growing role of cloud-based enterprise solutions in an exclusive talk with APP, said businesses today require more than basic software tools, as organizations now depend on intelligent systems capable of streamlining workflows, improving reporting, supporting compliance, and enabling real-time decision-making across multiple departments and locations.

He said modern companies expect software platforms not only to store information but also to assist users in analyzing data, reducing repetitive manual tasks, organizing records, and improving operational efficiency.

“As businesses grow, teams need systems that can work seamlessly across branches and users while remaining accessible and adaptable,” he said. “AI integration allows platforms to move beyond data storage and actively support business operations through summaries, document drafting, risk identification, and workflow automation.”

Asim, who serves as Software Development Manager at Think Prox in Manama, works as a Senior .NET Architect focusing on cloud-based enterprise systems and AI-enabled SaaS platforms.

At Think Prox, he has contributed to the development of “Next Level,” an AI-powered enterprise business management platform designed to integrate audits, compliance tracking, risk management, reporting, and document management within a unified digital environment.

The platform also incorporates “Zaki,” an assistant powered by Azure OpenAI technologies that supports users in areas such as document drafting, risk analysis, and root-cause assessments.

According to software expert, the value of AI-enabled SaaS platforms lies not only in their technical architecture but also in their practical impact on business operations.

He explained that many operational delays in organizations stem from fragmented records, unclear task ownership, repeated reporting processes, and inefficient follow-up systems.

“Cloud-based SaaS platforms help make operations more transparent and manageable, while AI tools support employees in handling routine tasks more efficiently without replacing human decision-making,” he added.

He emphasized that the challenge in enterprise software development is maintaining a balance between advanced functionality and user simplicity.

“The platform must be powerful enough for management and compliance teams, yet easy to use for employees handling day-to-day tasks,” he maintained.

With more than 15 years of experience in software development, .NET architecture, Azure cloud systems, Docker, Kubernetes, and AI-enabled product solutions, Asim said future business software would increasingly be judged by its ability to improve operational clarity, speed, and reliability.

He was of the opinion that professionals developing modern SaaS systems must combine technical expertise with an understanding of practical business needs to create solutions capable of supporting organizations in rapidly evolving digital environments.
