14 martyred, several injured in Quetta’ Chaman Phatak blast: Rind

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Balochistan on Media and Political Affairs, Shahid Rind, on Sunday said the number of martyrs in the Chaman Phatak blast has reached 14 and several others received injuries.

He mentioned that three of Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers are also among the martyrs. The bodies and the injured were shifted to the hospital, where the treatment of the injured was underway, he said and added that women and children are also among the injured.

He noted that the terrorists targeted unarmed citizens, the attack is a cowardly act of elements hostile to peace, saying that security forces have cordoned off the entire area, the process of collecting evidence and investigation is ongoing.

Shahid Rind said that targeting public places is proof of the terrorists' panic; the sacrifice of the martyrs would not go in vain.

He said that security forces are taking measures to end the nefarious designs of terrorists from the province, saying that anti- peace elements wanted to destabilize peace through sabotage activities, which would be foiled by the contribution of security forces and public in the interest of Balochistan development.
