BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) Bahawalpur Divisional Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia paid a surprise visit to a matriculation examination centre established at Government Sadiq Girls High school, Bahawalpur, to review arrangements.

During the visit, he conducted a detailed inspection of examination halls, available facilities, and security measures. Highlighting the importance of maintaining merit, transparency, and discipline, the commissioner directed officials to ensure that the examination process is conducted in a fair and orderly manner, warning that no negligence or lapses would be tolerated. He reiterated the government’s strict zero-tolerance policy against cheating and stressed the need for its rigorous implementation at all centers.

The Commissioner further stated that Section 144 has been imposed in the vicinity of examination centres, with a complete ban on the entry of unauthorised individuals to maintain a peaceful and controlled environment. Police personnel have also been deployed at the centres to ensure security.

Interacting with students, Irfan Ali Kathia encouraged them to take their exams with hard work, honesty, and confidence. Secretary education board, Adeel Malik Cheema, accompanied the Commissioner during the visit. Kathia added that all available resources are being utilized to ensure that the examination process remains transparent and well-organised.
