Zeeshan Rafique reviews monsoon drainage in Daska

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jul, 2026) On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Provincial Minister for Local Government Punjab Zeeshan Rafique visited College Chowk Daska and reviewed the arrangements made for timely drainage of rainwater.

Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Awais Mushtaq, Assistant Commissioner Daska Sadia Jaffer, MD WASA Faisal Shahzad, Chief Officer Municipal Committee Daska Salman Ahmed, Sub-Engineer Kabir and other concerned officers were also present on this occasion.

The provincial minister inspected the ongoing drainage operations at various places and reviewed the performance of the concerned institutions.

He directed that the ongoing steps for timely drainage of rainwater should be further expedited so that the citizens do not face any kind of difficulty.

Zeeshan Rafique directed the concerned officers to remain fully active along with their field teams, continuously monitor sensitive and low-lying areas and ensure provision of all possible relief to the people.

He reiterated the commitment that as per the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, providing the best civic amenities to the citizens during the monsoon, timely drainage of rainwater and uninterrupted restoration of normal life are the top priorities of the Punjab government.
