The final phase of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Summer Learning and Grooming Festival 2026 will begin on July 25 in Abbottabad and Mansehra, with around 2,000 students from across the province set to participate in a wide range of educational, leadership and co-curricular activities

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jul, 2026) The final phase of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Summer Learning and Grooming Festival 2026 will begin on July 25 in Abbottabad and Mansehra, with around 2,000 students from across the province set to participate in a wide range of educational, leadership and co-curricular activities.

The decision was made at a high-level review meeting chaired by Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education Muhammad Khalid to finalize arrangements for the fourth and final phase of the festival, said a press release.

The meeting was attended by the Additional Secretary (General), commissioners and deputy commissioners of the relevant divisions, chairmen of all Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, education department directors, district education officers and other senior officials.

Participants reviewed arrangements for student transportation, accommodation, meals, security, medical facilities, co-curricular activities and overall event management.

The forum was briefed on the outcomes of the festival's first phase and the implementation plan for the final phase, while a presentation was also given on branding, media outreach, social media coverage and the public awareness campaign.

Addressing the meeting, Muhammad Khalid directed officials to accord top priority to the safety and security of students.

He stressed the need to ensure quality travel arrangements, accommodation, food, healthcare, sanitation and discipline to provide participants with a safe and conducive learning environment.

He also instructed all relevant departments to maintain close coordination for the successful conduct of the festival and directed that a special IT Boot Camp be organized during the final phase to introduce students to digital skills, artificial intelligence (AI), emerging technologies and other modern technological developments.

The five-day event, scheduled from July 25 to 29, will offer students opportunities to participate in debates, art and craft, sketching, sports, leadership training, team-building exercises, plantation drives, hiking, creative activities, the IT Boot Camp and other educational and extracurricular programmes.

The meeting expressed satisfaction that lessons learned from the successful first phase had been incorporated into the final phase, resulting in improved planning and better facilities for participants.

The Elementary and Secondary Education Department reaffirmed its commitment to making the Summer Learning and Grooming Festival 2026 a landmark initiative for promoting the academic, creative, physical and leadership potential of the province's youth under the vision of Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi, the leadership of Provincial Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Arshad Ayub Khan, and the supervision of Secretary Education Muhammad Khalid.
