Women-themed festival concludes

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th May, 2026) The three-day festival titled “We are mothers, we are sisters, we are daughters,” organized by the Punjab Council of the Arts, Sargodha, concluded with a speech competition featuring students from various educational institutions.

Participants actively took part in the event and expressed their views on the social role of women, education, empowerment, and their contribution to national development.

The chief guest, Ms. Iram Hamid Hameed, said while addressing the ceremony that women are a key pillar in the progress of society.

She added that the government is taking practical steps to promote women’s education, empowerment, and recognition of their abilities.

She distributed prizes and certificates among the position holders and appreciated the efforts of the Punjab Council of the Arts, Sargodha, for organizing the festival.

In the competition, Moeez Irfan secured first position, Mehreen Syed second, and Ahsan Abbas third.

At the conclusion of the event, participants termed the festival an important initiative for promoting women’s rights, awareness, and positive social values.
