Woman swept by flooding water at Shangla

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jul, 2026) A woman was swept away by flooding water in Machkandi Khawar of Tehsil Shangla, Rescue workers said here on Thursday.

According to Rescue 1122, two women fell into gushing water of a local stream that was overflowed due to continuos monsoon rain in Machkandi and adjoining areas.

Body of one woman was fished out by hectic efforts of locals and rescue workers while another women who sustained injuries was also recovered and shifted to local hospital.

District administration and Rescue 1122 has urged people to avoid flooding streams during monsoon season and inform authorities about any mishap.
