Woman swept away in Indus River; Rescue teams continue search operation

HAZRO, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jul, 2026) The Rescue 1122 teams continued search operation on Wednesday for a 35-year-old woman who drowned after slipping into the Indus River near Village, Mullan Mansoor , the Rescue 1122 officials said.

The woman, identified as the wife of Akhtar Ali, was cutting grass along the riverbank when she lost her footing, fell into the fast-flowing river and was swept away.

The officials said ambulance and water rescue teams were dispatched to the scene immediately after receiving the emergency call.

The divers equipped with scuba gear launched a search and rescue operation in an effort to locate the missing woman.

They said the operation would continue without interruption until the woman was found.
