Woman killed by brother over domestic dispute in Chiniot

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) A woman was allegedly killed by her brother following a domestic dispute in the Burj Babal area falling within the jurisdiction of Chenab Nagar Police in Chiniot, police said on Wednesday.

According to police officials, the incident occurred after a heated argument between the siblings, during which the accused allegedly attacked his sister with a stick, resulting in her death on the spot.

Soon after receiving information about the incident, senior police officers along with personnel from Chenab Nagar Police reached the scene, collected forensic evidence, and initiated an investigation into the matter.

Police said a case has been registered under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code, while raids are underway to arrest the accused, who fled after the incident.
