Waste Bags distribution drive held

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Gujrat Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi participated in the ongoing waste bag distribution campaign under the “Suthra Punjab” initiative in various residential areas of Kharian and Sara-e-Alamgir.

The deputy commissioner distributed waste bags among residents in Mohallah Naya Ara Kharian and Mohallah Jaleel Pura Sara-e-Alamgir as part of efforts to promote cleanliness and proper waste disposal during Eid ul Azha.

Citizens were urged to avoid throwing garbage and animal waste in streets and drains and instead place waste in designated bags and dispose of it in waste bins.

They were also advised to contact the Suthra Punjab helpline 1139 or complaint cell 03260001139 for timely waste collection by sanitation teams.

Assistant Commissioner Kharian Ahmad Sher Gondal, Assistant Commissioner Sara-e-Alamgir Sadia Dogar, and chief officers of the local bodies were also present during the campaign.
