WASA fully mobilized to provide best facilities to citizens during Eid-ul-Azha

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) is fully mobilized to provide the best possible facilities to citizens during Eid-ul-Azha.

An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of WASA Managing Director Ghufran Ahmed.

The MD WASA directed all directors and XENs (Executive Engineers) to remain active in the field.

Special operating schedules for tube wells have been issued to ensure uninterrupted water supply to citizens during Eid-ul-Azha.

Following is schedule for Eid ul Azha days: Eid ul Azha-First day timings

First Shift: 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Second Shift: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Third Shift: 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM,

Eid-ul-Azha – Second Day Timings

First Shift: 4:00 AM to 10:30 AM

Second Shift: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Third Shift: 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and

Post Eid-ul-Azha Timings

First Shift: 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM

Second Shift: 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Third Shift: 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM

WASA MD Ghufran Ahmed directed all directors to ensure effective arrangements regarding Eid-ul-Azha.

All leaves of operational staff have been canceled during Eid days, and no negligence in public service would be tolerated, he added.

He stated that special teams have been activated to immediately resolve sewerage issues around Mosques, Eid grounds and sacrificial sites.

Directions have also been given to keep WASA Lahore’s machinery, pumps and disposal systems fully functional.

In case of rain, all available resources should be utilized for the immediate drainage of rainwater from low-lying areas, MD said.

He further said that all directors have been instructed to remain present in the field and ensure immediate resolution of public complaints.
