Wah wedding hall sealed for violating one-dish policy

WAH CANTT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Mar, 2026) The local administration in Wah Cantt sealed a wedding hall on GT Road on Sunday for violating the 'one-dish' policy and operating hours rules.

According to APP correspondent, Assistant Commissioner Maria Javaid led the operation, imposing fines on 13 other violations.

The crackdown is part of a province-wide effort to enforce the Punjab Marriage Functions Act 2016, maintaining civic order and public welfare.

Punjab Chief Minister directed the action against non-compliant marriage halls. Nine marriage halls were sealed, with heavy fines imposed.

The administration urged relevant officials to launch immediate crackdowns on violating ceremonies. The move aims to regulate wedding functions, ensuring compliance with rules.
