Vehicle lifter arrested in Rawalpindi, stolen vehicle recovered

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jun, 2026) Police have arrested a vehicle lifter and recovered a stolen vehicle worth millions of rupees from his possession on Monday.

According to police spokesperson the suspect had been regularly booking a citizen’s vehicle and secretly arranged for a duplicate key to be made.

He later, along with his accomplices, allegedly stole the vehicle and fled away from scene.

Acting on technical and human intelligence, Waris Khan Police launched an operation that led to the arrest of the suspect and the recovery of the stolen vehicle.

Police officials stated that efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect’s accomplices who remain at large.

SP Rawal said the arrested suspect will be sent to court with solid evidence and the case will be pursued in accordance with the law.
