VC IUB pays tribute to leaders of Pakistan Movement on March 23

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Mar, 2026) Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, in his message on Pakistan Day, said that March 23, 1940, remains a historic milestone celebrated every year with great enthusiasm and national pride.

He noted that Pakistan Day reminds the nation of the unwavering determination and continuous struggle of the Muslims of the subcontinent for a separate homeland. He highlighted that the historic resolution, presented by A. K. Fazl-ul-Haq, marked a decisive moment when the Muslims of the subcontinent resolved to establish an independent state.

He added that under the visionary leadership of Muhammad Ali Jinnah and other leaders, and guided by the principles of faith, unity, and discipline, a new Islamic state emerged within a short span of seven years.

The Vice Chancellor emphasized that Pakistan guarantees freedom and equal rights to all its citizens, including minorities, allowing them to practice their religions freely. He further stated that the faculty, administration, and students of IUB were playing a vital role in shaping the nation’s future through quality education and research, contributing to the country’s development and progress.
