SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Thursday said that the urban corridor would provide quality recreational opportunities to the residents of Mianwali.

He expressed these views while visiting the Civil Lines area of Mianwali to inspect the ongoing urban beautification project.

Deputy Commissioner Asad Abbas Magasi and other senior officials were also present.

During the visit, the Commissioner reviewed the pace and quality of construction work.

Relevant officers briefed him that work on the urban corridor is progressing swiftly. They added that key components include the development of a food street, renovation and beautification of buildings, upgrading of electrical installations, and installation of tuff tiles.

The parking area, officials noted, has already been completed.

The briefing further revealed that approximately 60 percent of the project has been completed so far, with a target to finish all work by May 31.

The Commissioner termed the initiative a public welfare project of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

He directed the concerned departments to further accelerate the pace of work to ensure timely completion within the stipulated deadline.
