Two youngsters, speaking about the trend, said the animal markets have turned into “fun and memorable places” during Eid, adding that taking selfies with uniquely named animals has become a new way of celebrating the festive season.

Cattle market sellers said that this Eid season, animals with unique Names and impressive physiques are attracting strong public attention in the mandis.

They explained that buyers, especially young visitors and vloggers, are showing interest not only in weight and quality but also in specially named sacrificial animals, which have become a growing trend in the market.

The sellers further added that heavy-weight animals such as “Sheru,” “Badshah,” “Rustam,” and “Sultan,” ranging from around 120 kg to over 180 kg, are in high demand due to their size, build and striking appearance.

They also added that prices vary according to weight and breed, with larger and well-built animals fetching higher rates as Eid buying activity intensifies.
