Lambasting Delhi’s installed puppet government of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), former "Chief Minister" and J&K Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti has accused "CM" Omar Abdullah led National Conference "government"

MIRPUR (AJK) , (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 24th Apr, 2026) Lambasting Delhi’s installed puppet government of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), former "Chief Minister" and J&K Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti has accused "CM" Omar Abdullah led National Conference "government" of failing to deliver on pre-poll promises, including providing one lakh jobs to youth in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir State, says a report reaching here on Friday from across the line of control.

"Addressing a workers' convention in Baramula, Mehbooba Mufti as per the report said nearly two years after the NC came to power, unemployment had left the youth "victims of depression." across the Indian occupied part of the disputed Himalayan State.

"Instead of jobs, the National Conference's promises have turned out to be false. Their claims are now open and visible on the ground," she said.

Drawing a comparison with her father's tenure in so called power in the occupied territor, she said the late Mufti Muhammad Saeed's "government" in 2002 worked under difficult circumstances, including cross-LoC shelling, despite being in power for only six years.

The opposition PDP chief also raised the closure of the Uri-Muzaffarabad road, calling it a major setback for the region's Apple industry. The road, opened, under trans LoC trade between IIOJ&K anad Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK ) during her PDP's tenure, she said, could have helped Kashmiri traders access Sopore — described by her as South East Asia's biggest fruit mandi and eased Ondia's traditional hostilities with Pakistan, she observed

"Trucks carrying fruit remain stuck for up to 15 days during peak season due to highway closure. Our apples could reach different countries through this road. But it was closed on India's enmity with Pakistan.

Referring to last year's Delhi's hatched false flag operation in Pahalgam, PDP chief said several tourist locations, including in Baramulla and the upper reaches of Gulmarg, have been closed.
