Commissioner reviews progress on major development projects in city

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jun, 2026) Commissioner Multan division, Amir Karim Khan, conducted a detailed inspection of ongoing development projects across the city on Sunday, reviewing their progress, quality, and pace of work. Senior officials from the relevant departments accompanied him during the visit and briefed him on the status of each project.

During his inspection of the Multan Avenue project, the commissioner directed contractors to accelerate work simultaneously on all nine sections to ensure timely completion. He directed the Highways department to maintain strict monitoring of every section, while the Horticulture Authority was given a task to complete the development of green belts, tree plantation, and landscaping.

Later, Amir Karim Khan visited the Comprehensive school road project, where he ordered the plantation of 12-foot-tall shade trees along the road median. He also directed that carpeting, final finishing, and all remaining works be completed by July 10.

Reviewing the Khurshid colony road project, the commissioner stressed that the scheme must be completed by July 10, warning that no delay in meeting the deadline would be tolerated. He also inspected brand road, examined the ongoing construction activities, and received a detailed briefing on the project's progress.

The commissioner instructed all concerned departments to maintain construction standards while ensuring speedy execution of development schemes. He emphasized the need for daily monitoring, timely reporting, and the immediate resolution of any hurdles affecting project completion.

He said the timely completion of public welfare projects was top priority, adding that all available resources were being utilized to provide citizens with improved road infrastructure and better transport facilities.

Director Development Mubashir Rehman, SE Highways Ghulam Nabi, Managing Director Horticulture Authority Syed Waseem, and other officials were also present.
