Two killed,one injured over financial dispute

MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jun, 2026) Two residents were killed and another injured in a firing incident over an alleged Rs.30,000 financial dispute in Pul Sheikhana area of Shah Jamal on Saturday,police said.

According to police,Muhammad Asif opened fire during a dispute,killing Muhammad Irfan and Muhammad Farhan on the spot. Muhammad Azam sustained injuries in the incident.

Police said all three victims and the alleged suspect were between 17 and 18 years of age.

Following the incident,bereaved families staged a protest demanding the immediate arrest of the accused and justice from senior police officials,including the IG Punjab,RPO Dera and DPO Muzaffargarh.

The Shah Jamal police have launched an investigation into the incident while security has been tightened in the area amid rising tension.

Further investigation was underway.
