Two held,over 150 kites recovered in crackdown

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) Ichra police arrested two suspects and recovered a large number of kites during an operation in Fazlia Colony and Supermarket areas,officials said on Monday.

According to police,the action was taken on secret information regarding illegal kite manufacturing and distribution in violation of the ban on kite flying.

The suspects,identified as Ahmed and Ali allegedly prepared kites at home and supplied them to different parts of the city through online orders.

Police said that more than 150 kites were recovered during the raid.

Cases have been registered against both suspects,who have been handed over to the Investigation Wing for further inquiry.

Officials said the crackdown against kite flying and related activities will continue across the city.
