Fire at timber warehouse: no casualties reported as teams control blaze

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) A fire broke out at a timber warehouse in the Khanna police station area, but no loss of life was reported.

Officials said the situation was brought under control due to a quick response, while cooling work is still underway.

According to the district administration spokesperson, the fire started in a wood storage facility within the limits of Khanna police station. Rescue teams, including the fire brigade, reached the site soon after the incident was reported. Their timely action helped contain the fire before it could spread to nearby structures.

The Assistant Commissioner and police officials were present at the location and supervised the operation. Firefighters continued efforts to fully extinguish remaining hotspots to prevent any further risk.

Authorities confirmed that no injuries or fatalities occurred in the incident. An assessment of the damage is currently in progress, and officials are also working to determine the cause of the fire.

The administration stated that all necessary steps were taken to handle the situation and ensure public safety.
