Two criminals killed in police encounter

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th May, 2026) Two alleged criminals were killed during a police encounter in the area of Saddar Samundri police station.

Police said here on Friday that SHO Saddar Samundri police station Adnan along with his team conducted raid in Chak No.447-GB to arrest the accused wanted in a sodomy-cum-murder case, but the outlaws opened indiscriminate firing on the police party.

The police also returned fire in self-defense and directed the criminals for surrenders but they continued firing and during this encounter, two outlaws received serious injuries due to the bullets fired by their own accomplices and fell down on the ground.

The police arrested and shifted the injured accused to hospital for treatment but in vain as they breathed their last amid receiving treatment whereas their accomplices managed to escape from the scene.

The killed accused were identified as Nauman and Shahid who had allegedly killed an 8-year-old boy Ali Ahmad three days ago after committing unnatural offence with him and later mutilated his body with a sharp-edge weapon to conceal evidence of the offence.

The police also recovered weapons and a motorcycle from the spot, while a special team was constituted to trace whereabouts of the escapees and arrest thereof, spokesman added.
