ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) Injra Police arrested two suspects and seized machinery during an operation against illegal gold mining in Attock on Thursday.
The crackdown was carried out under the supervision of SHO Sub-Inspector Sajjad Saleem.According to police, the two men were caught while engaged in illegal mining activities.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Badshah Zaman, son of Shewa Khan, a resident of South Waziristan, and Gul Abbas, son of Mir Kabaz Khan, a resident of Bannu.
During the operation, police also confiscated machinery and other equipment being used for illegal gold extraction at the site.
The action is part of ongoing efforts to curb unauthorized mining in the region.A case has been registered against the suspects at Police Station Injra. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
