ETO-II Peshawar continues crackdown against tax defaulters

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has continued its special campaign against property tax defaulters in Peshawar, taking legal measures to recover outstanding dues from major defaulters.

According to official details, the operations are being carried out under the supervision of Tauseef Khan, Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO-II) Property Tax Peshawar. Assistant Excise and Taxation Officers Nasir Mehmood Khan and Zar Ali Khan are leading field actions in different areas of the city.

Despite repeated notices, a number of property owners failed to clear their outstanding tax liabilities. As a result, legal action was initiated and several defaulting units were sealed.

The Excise and Taxation Department has urged all property owners to ensure timely payment of their dues to avoid legal action, penalties and inconvenience. The department further stated that such actions will continue to ensure tax compliance and to enhance government revenue.
