Tribal elder Nabiullah Machankhel shot dead in Bannu

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) Nabiullah Machankhel, an elder of the Machankhel community and a well-known political and social figure from Nar Sher Khan Kala in the jurisdiction of Sarai Gambila Police Station, Lakki Marwat, was shot dead by unidentified persons in Bannu.

According to district police, Nabiullah had gone to Domel earlier in the day along with three friends in a car where unidentified individuals allegedly took them into custody there and later killed Nabiullah.

The three accompanying individuals were reportedly still in the custody of the unidentified persons, while further details about the incident were awaited.

The district police had started an investigation and search operation in the area.
