QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Mar, 2026) A tree plantation campaign under the “Clean and Green Quetta Initiative 2026” is underway across the city under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Mehrullah Badini, aimed at improving the environment and restoring Quetta’s natural beauty.

As part of the campaign, Deputy Commissioner Badini visited Dar-ul-Falah Orphanage, where he planted saplings alongside representatives of the Rotary Club.

During the visit, he met with orphaned children, planted commemorative trees in their Names, and later joined them for iftar. The Rotary Club also presented plants as a gift to support the initiative.

Mehrullah Badini said Quetta was a shared home for all residents and emphasized collective responsibility in restoring the city’s beauty.

He noted that more than 1,500 trees had already been planted in areas including Alamdar Road, Satellite Town, Pashtunabad, and Kasi Road. The Rotary Club is assisting the district administration free of cost.

The deputy commissioner announced that the administration has prepared a registration form to enable citizens to receive saplings and plant them in their homes and neighborhoods. He appealed to philanthropists and residents to actively support the initiative, expressing hope that with public cooperation, Quetta would be transformed into a greener and more vibrant city.
